雅思是为申请赴英语(美国、英国、澳大利亚、加拿大、新西兰等)留学、移民的非英语学生而设，用来评定考生运用英语的能力。雅思考试总分为9分。

雅思考试包括四个部分，依次为听力、阅读、写作和口语，考试时间共2小时45分钟。每一部分都独立评分，四部分得分的平均分作为考生的雅思综合得分(小数部分取舍到相近的一分或半分，即如果平均分为6.125分，雅思得分算作6分)。

3分Extremely Limited User. Conveys and understands only general meaning in very familiar situations. Frequent breakdowns in communication occur.水平极有限，在极熟悉的情况下，只能进行一般的沟通理解.
